Hello There!
Thank you so much for supporting our small, women-owned and operated business. We felt it was important to share our back story, for those who are interested, to explain what this business means to us. It is time for a little story!
Herbal Haven Boutique is proudly owned by the Pappas Family. We are a tight-knit, loving family of twelve. Our inspiration behind Herbal Haven Boutique stems from our love of nature, herbalism, and wanting to take control over what we are putting on and in our bodies!
Admittedly, the beginning of our story is sad, yet an eye opening one. Most of our family was introduced to the healing powers of plants when our incredible son/brother/husband/father, Nick, was diagnosed with stage IV pancreatic cancer. His diagnosis sent shockwaves through our family, leaving us all grappling with the enormity of the situation.

Nick’s diagnosis marked a turning point for our family. Lisa, one of our founders, with her extensive background in herbalism, researched extensively about cancer treatments and therapies. She was joined by Lynn, another founder. In the course of their research, they dove into the world of alternative medicine, and their discoveries led them to herbal remedies for their brother which helped with pain management and killing the cancer. Shortly after, Amanda, a founder and skin care “chemist” (as her Dad, Nick, would say), joined the hunt to find the miracle which was plant medicine.
Inspired by their newfound knowledge, the rest of the Pappas Family began seeing the magic behind holistic health. We all began to study herbal medicine and holistic healing. Our family embarked on a journey to discover the incredible potential of nature's gifts. We started planting a variety of medicinal herbs and plants in Lisa's backyard, transforming it into a vibrant garden filled with lavender, aloe vera, calendula, and many more. Little did we know that this garden was packed with skin care goodness which would later lead to the creation of our very own herbal skin care store.

As we learned more about the healing properties of herbs, our family also realized the importance of nourishing the body from the outside in. Amanda began experimenting with homemade skincare formulations using the herbs and plants from the garden. Boom! The Sleepy Time magnesium body butter was born. Her sister and founder Alexa was the first to try the product. Thanks to all the support and positive feedback from her mom, Loretta, Alexa, cousins, Jared and Jacen, Uncles Frank and Mike, and grandparents, Amanda began creating other simple-ingredient products. Quickly, a strong passion developed for crafting organic skincare products, from soothing balms to rejuvenating serums, and even fragrant bath salts.
In time, Nick's condition improved thanks to a combination of medical treatment and holistic approaches. He became the embodiment of the healing potential of nature's offerings, and his journey became the driving force behind our family's new mission.
We decided to share our newfound knowledge and passion with others in our community. We created a small business called Herbal Haven Boutique, dedicated to crafting organic and herbal skin care products. This business is simply a way for our family to honor Nick's resilience and resembles our collective commitment to holistic healing.
Herbal Haven Boutique quickly gained recognition in our community, as our products not only enhance the skin but also add a healing touch. People began to experience the power of herbs and botanicals in rejuvenating and soothing their skin. It wasn't long before we expanded our business beyond our neighborhood, selling our products online and in local shops. And here we are today!
The Pappas’ turned a painful and life-altering experience into a mission to promote the healing potential of nature's gifts. We are immensely proud to have inspired countless others to embrace the magic of organic skincare and herbal remedies.
Our journey is a testament to the idea that even in the face of adversity, love, determination, and the healing power of nature can bring about transformative change, not only for our family but for the countless individuals whose lives we have touched and will continue to touch!
