Thank you for supporting our small business. We wanted to share our story — because what we do here goes far beyond skincare.

Herbal Haven Boutique is proudly owned by the Pappas Family. We are a close, loving family of twelve, and our inspiration comes from something deeply personal: our love of nature, herbalism, and a desire to take real control over what we put on and in our bodies.

Our story has a hard beginning. Most of our family was first introduced to the healing power of plants when our beloved son, brother, husband, and father — Nick — was diagnosed with stage IV pancreatic cancer. His diagnosis shook all of us to our core.

In the wake of Nick's diagnosis, our founders Lisa and Lynn dove into the world of alternative medicine, researching herbal remedies that could help with pain management and support his treatment. Amanda, Nick's daughter and our skincare "chemist," as he always called her, joined the search, and together the family discovered the medicine hiding in plants.

We began planting medicinal herbs in Lisa's backyard: lavender, aloe vera, calendula, white willow bark, chamomile and so much more. What started as a garden slowly became something none of us expected.

Amanda began experimenting with homemade skincare formulations using herbs straight from the garden. The first product — our Sleepy Time Magnesium Body Butter — was born right there. Her sister Alexa was the first to try it. With encouragement from her mom Loretta, cousins Jared and Jacen, and the rest of the family, Amanda kept creating. Simple ingredients. Real results. A growing passion.

In time, Nick's condition improved through a combination of medical treatment and holistic care. His resilience became the driving force behind everything we do. We created Herbal Haven Boutique to honor his journey and to share what we had learned with our wider community.

What began in a backyard garden has grown into a small business that reaches people far beyond our neighborhood. We are immensely proud of that — and we are grateful every day to have inspired others to embrace the magic of plant-based skincare and holistic wellness.
